My J's Racing Intake Installation...

I did the same with mine when I fitted it for the 1st time, and because its a track car I drilled a 3" hole on the left hand side of the bumper for the CAI feed to slot into. My car seemed to pull very well the last time I had it on the track

I also have the DC2 version. It does make a bit more noise than before, great intake if you ask me. Don't know if I gained power with it though, I had an AEM cold air intake before but I don't trust those things in rainy weather.

Question on the j's racing intake on the Dc2R.
There is an L bracket that came with the kit but not sure where that needs to go, I can't seem to figure it out and there are no step by step instruction.... I tried to look at other people's intake photo from the net but can't seem to spot this L bracket as the angle of the intake is slightly differ on the dc2 compared to the ek9.

also anyone spotted an airbox template that is for dc2 on the internet before?

I'd imagine the L bracket serves the same purpose on both models, ie support either from the chassis leg or from the strut tower. :nice:

Cant beat the sounds of these. I have a dc2 box on my ek, goner be swapping it onto my ek9 when i pick it up, jut need to make a cold air feed for the box.

if you get some more dimensions on the shield box i can CAD it up at work and possibly even churn a few out when i get the time. Im an apprentice sheet metal worker so its not like I have no idea how to do it

spend half of the day reading and trying to understand, thx to all guys posting their photos and results here
I think will go with PwJDM J's replica with all that tweaks :nice:

I have been lurking on here for a while a found this thread really great and inspirational. I recently completed my own CAI for my intake. I have a Yowai-SS intake (J-Racing replica) on my B16a SiR2 motor in my 96 Civic. I still have one final step to do but here is what i got for now.

It's going to have a custom air duct. We're still working on the fabrication of it. It gonna kinda look like this...

Sorry for the crappy cell pics but the front bumper is now done and installed. You can expect a proper paint job in the future after i save up since i might repaint the whole car.

Here is the completed custom air duct setup I made for my Yowai-SS Carbon Fiber Intake. I took the PWJDM carbon fiber air duct designed specifically for the JDM 1994-2001 DC2 Integra front bumper, and fabricated it to fit the SiR bumper.
