My EK9 on its way from Japan


Haha yeah I noticed the back wheels when I was up in my impreza a while back.. The thing cant handle to save its self - my m8 also has his ek9 serious low on tein coilovers - and he had to raise it again as it was stupid rigid. When you put power into a corner the slightest contour, bump in the road would send it into a mad aray of sideways jump and skip - haha not the best thing for confidence at over 100mph - on a private road ofcourse :D .. I remember a few years ago seing an ek4 that low that when it accelarated and braked hard hard the front bumper slammed the road and tires bottomed out on arches. Lol found out bout week later he cut 60mm springs in half !! haha NED !!!
Well I rekon we should have a little scotland meet some time bud. For crail or sumthing. There must be 4 or 5 of us huh. Would be good to see !!!
 
nope, but it's the same car that you're thinking of. my friend stays in Stonehaven and he sold it to a guy in Inverbervie :nice:
 
Ahh nice one.. My m8 went to look at that before he sold it I think. He now ownes a white 97. Drove 1200 miles to pick it up !! lol. Very clean tho.
So where you gettin that insurance quote bud ?? Up for an aberdeen meet one nite after you get your car etc. Type R Meet - I will bring mine, my mate in his white facelift and my other bud in his red modified Ep3 = ROCKET !! lol.

If i not wrong this is apexi N1 exhaust right last time my fren have same pattern as u~

and that's NOT a facelift steering wheel!!!! any promotional video you watch for the ek9 and spec sheet for the car from just after the car was released (obviously the pre facelift shape) has the momo SRS wheel stated as a feature of the car :woot:

for instance check the link HERE it states how the titanium gear knob, the red recaros and the momo srs wheel etc etc are all standard features on the ek9

Hold on there im 20 myself and i cant get insured on it full stop. that is cheaper than i am paying on my ek4 VTi-S! let alone on a ek9!! could you do me a big favour and let me know the company so i can give them a call? ta.
 
elephant have ben best quote so far at £950, that's fully comp insured as a Honda vtec R import which is what my friends ek9 was insured as, i'm sure he phoned them to confirm too

had another quote elsewhere for £1450 too, can't remember what company though!

thats fully comp with exhaust system declared. me main driver (pass plus and 2 years NCB), car kept in driveway, cat1 alarm/imob and my mum as a second driver :nice:
 
well turns out that it wasn't ready in time for my birthday, after shipping taking a tad longer and also customs taking 2 weeks to clear .......

BUT, got a nice update for my birthday today! car has now cleared customs and being delivered up to the guys at privateimports mon/tues so the real work can start :clap:

more updates to come as i get pics from them but feels good to know there is finally some progress being made, i really cannot wait to get my car now :nerv:
