My black facelift ek9


Nice man! I have BC coilovers on mine, would recommend them over Teins all day! Cheaper, more reliable & just as good if not better. BC BR series you want, top notch!

I said the same when I got my 9 about small mods and now I'm doing an engine swap :lol:it's always nice to see an unmolested 9 though.

V2 is a good intake, ive gone with Mugen airbox but was tempted by a V2!
 
Yea I really don't want to take anything away from it by modifying it but its hard to leave stuff alone.lol I've also always loved the spoon calipers so that could also be something for the future. More than anything I just want to enjoy it and hopefully get abroad with it next year to nurburgring a couple of times.
 
Don't go for Teins ave had 2 sets and they are awful

As DBMatt said bc type BR are amazing coilovers, I have 3 sets of these in 3 of my cars, or meister r zeta r are very good coilovers, I have a set of them on my eg9 sir

As said above, go for BC's all day. Best coilovers I've ever had.

Just a little update guys. I received my spoon n1 exhaust and coilovers from Adam at 6two1 yesterday and fitted them at a mates garage yesterday afternoon. The spoon n1 is mega although a tad noisy but I think that's just because I'm getting old.loo but I'm going to order the bung on Monday, also the 6two1 coilovers are awesome for the money. Will upload pics after the much needed cleaning session Tomorrow

looks real clean buddy! you know if them lug nuts are steel and any good? what you think the diffrence is between these stock ek9s and a 106 gti? i had one and my bro got a cammed 106 and its 150bhp i still aint drove my ek9 properly yet see to see for myself i personlly think a 106 is gonna be quicker tho ?:)

if its got ph3/708 cams, I honestly think you wouldnt see much difference/the gti would be marginally quicker if its a healthy car/good driver. My ek9 wasn't a particularly healthy one, but my VTS feels like it has a lot more pull, and a cammed vts I spend a lot of time in on track isnt far off an RBC ep3 - such underrated cars!
I've always said the ek9 is more of a luxury side step to a saxo/106 than an upgrade

yeah i agree nic so underrated! mine was 130 bhp with full pugsport with decat and induction and what a car loved it! my bro's is even quicker again.... i know deep down that a gti/vts or a cammed one would be quicker but what hot hatch is quicker then a gti/vts ? none! i used to beat everything around my end in mine power to weight is mental! but overall the ek9 wins by far :)
