I put a b16b in my 1999 civic coupe, i bought the motor from a local japanesse engine supplier. But Vtec engages around 6400 RPM Factory it is 5500 correct? I was wondering if you guys know it would be doing this. I am going to check the ECU today if its been chipped

Also what mods do you guys recomend, its got a intake, full 2.5 inch exhaust, and has been port matched

It will depend on how much do you want to spend but since you already have a 2.5" exaust a good header will be a great start.

omg seriously search... this information is covered in numerous posts and stickies, you pos factory gauge cluster not accurate.

The rpm gauge is not that accurate :nice: your vtec kick in should be at 5800 - 5900

It is accurate, i ussed another tach to check, and the ECU dose not seem to be chipped

:blabla: I'm sure... what kind of cluster do you have and what type of tach did you use to check it?

as said, the cluster might be a lirrle bit off.
What other tacho are you using?

Get an Apex'i RSM and you'll know exactly what speed/rpm you are doing. On my speedometer is says im doing 4100 rpm when Im really doing 3800 rpm on my RSM.
