As promised, I'm putting a build thread up to take you from start to finish of my EK project.

The base

- 2000 Honda Civic SE
- D16Y7 w/ Auto Tranny
- Black w/ Grey interior

Thus Far

Installed a set of TEIN S-TECH lowering springs on NAPA Premium struts for a better look. Also installed a set of 16" Motegi MR7s with 205/45/R16 tires.

Rear disc brake swap from a '92 EH9 (My previous project)

(Kind of hard to see but it's in there)

Bought a JDM D16A that was originally supposed to go into the previously mentioned EH9, but I've decided to swap it into my EK instead.

Next was a Mugen Rep. front lip, a Type-R Rep. rear lip, and Type-R Rep. front grille

My EH9 was boosted, so i removed my turbo parts from it, cleaned everything up real nice and started installing them on the D16A.

Also picked up a few new goodies like an XTD 6-puck clutch, heavy duty pressure plate, and a new turbo manifold.

Shined up the clouded headlights with some McGuire's PlastX

Landed a sick deal on a set of RECARO seats on Civic rails that needed some work, so I had the foam rebuilt and black wear pads put in to match my car.

More goodies for the D16A

Now unfortunately the D16Y7 had a slight knock when i bought the car, so I didn't expect it to last long but I wasn't worried because I was putting the boosted D16A setup together anyway. Unfortunately - before I had the D16A the block back from the shop getting new bearings & seals - the Y7 tossed a rod on the way home from work.

So now the car is sitting, waiting for the new engine to be installed, which I'm hoping to have done by October. Just in time to put it away for the winter :D

It currently looks like this:

More to come for sure. Winter is when I always get the most work done because I spend less money partying and more on the car. Any feedback - positive or negative - his highly appreciated!

Stuff I don't have pictures of

- Full 3" turbo-back catless exhuast w/ Mugen Rep. Twin loop
- 5000K HID kit
- Front & Rear strut braces (hopefully soon to be replaced with authentic ones)
- My turbo setup, including intercooler, charge piping, SSQV BOV, 450cc DSM injectors, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
