I've already e-mailed him your details, I'll check again on Monday that he has responded.

I broke the stock DC2 4.785 pinion last time out, and decided to go to US spec teg 4.4 (to keep the lsd). With the box out I decided to change the 3/4/5 gearset for a 1.625, 1.296, 1.130.

Result :

MFactory Competition Products - Forged Transmission Components

left hand chart is the new set up, right hand is stock UK 98 ITR, click "calculate transmission 1 & 2" for a comparison.

Tested it on easter monday at knockhill and 4th gear is just awesome - before 4th was a long drag, now it just rips through 4th to 5th.

Didnt use much of 5th as it was doing 110mph into the braking zone into the first square right at Duffus :nice:

Passed a lot of Scoobies and Evos, and even scalped an Audi RS4 and an M3 up the main straight - it pulls really well out of the hairpin in 2nd to 5th up the long hill.

Finian, pass on to Des that I'm looking for a sponsor for the Clark - no harm in asking...

I recently bought a 3/4/5 set up for my EK4

Got round to fitting them this week but the 5th gear (1.130) on the countershaft appears to have a wider profile tooth than the rest and is not meshing properly with the 5th on the main. Anyone shed any light on this?

hmm, that is strange. Could you send in a support request via the contact form on our website. Thanks :)

I run a Quaife Gear kit with ratios
1st 2.462
2nd 1.813
3rd 1.500
4th 1.250
5th 1.045
And a 4.750 Final drive
Car has a JDM 96spec B18c with a light weight flywheel and 4,2,1 manifold.
Would a Mfactory 4.925 work with this gearkit ? Car is a Rally EG6
Want to improve accleration , but still be able to use 1st gear for the real tight stuff .

I am going to build my gearbox in my civic eg6 rallycar over the christmas, it has a kaaz lsd already in it, i have been looking into putting an mfactory gearkit and final drive into it, what i am trying to find out is: what is the difference in strength between the mfactory basic gears and the 'pro series' gears and would the basic be good enough?? all info. appreciated

The normal street gears are good for all motor applications, upto around 400whp.

If you are high power/boosted, then you would need the PRO Series gears.

I fitted a gear kit,3rd.4th and 5th from syncrotec in the US,i used there syncros and Mfactory gears along with a 4.4 final drive and standard Honda teg diff and it is by far the best thing i have fitted to any car for the money.
I have it along with a B16a,as the B16B is being rebuilt,in the back of my GTM rally car,its 840kilos and on the 13" wheels hits 60 in under 5 seconds, with no spin at all,as its in the back and is flat out at 121mph in 5th at 8500rpm,it is great.
I have just started to build a EG4 but this time i may have to go 15" wheels, does anyone rally with this sort of kit and 15" wheels,i would love to no how it pulls, handles and how much spin you get of the line.
As said Mfactory stuff is great:D

Does anyone here have the 1.636, 1.313 and 1.028 combo?

Is anybody on here using the Mfactory dog box ??

or can offer any advice on it ?

for an irish tarmac rally car
1600 N/A 9200rpm
190bhp (flywheel) 137lbft
15inch wheels

Thanks

Our dog gear set is still under testing/development, so is not ready for purchase yet.

For your application, I would recommend our Road/Race Gear Set (straight-cut 3rd/4th/5th). These are the same gears used by Peter Wilson and Damien McCarthy :)
