shorter for the gearbox,, teh long one will clip on eitehr the diff or teh crownwheel if you stick it in teh gearbox,, wait for raginangel to reply he has mentioned this before
imo theres more clearance in the oil pan than in the tranny... so make sense to me that the long one goes in the oil and short one in the tranny, however... this isnt 100% sure... still trying to find nifo on internet
on the weekend i put a long one in my ek9 oil pan and and a long one in the oil pan of my mates integra, and put short ones in the gear box of both cars as well,
both cars are fine,no problems!

Gearbox magnetic sump plug - M factory type.
After 10000km with a Kaaz LSD in the EK4 gearbox I required to change the oil. This was what I found stuck all over the magnet..lots of iron powder, a huge wedge of it.
The chinese man in the background was interested too..
