I think I know the answer...but I thought I'd ask to make sure..I think at least one of my engine mounts is f*cked?
When I change down gears, particularly to 2nd in high revs, there's a huge knock/jerk sometimes. There's almost a huge bang and it like kicks back. Also my gear stick is moving a lot, over speed bumps you can just watch it swaying back and forth. Only reason I'm wondering if it's defo them..I'm sure I've read the cars had them changed twice in the last year or so, seems odd they'd go again?!

Well, there's always the possibility they have not been fitted properly.....

Time for some hasport mounts :)

The front leg mounts are common to fall apart. But if they have been changed sounds a bit odd.....You can visually check most mounts easily. The rear is most difficult.

Had the same issue. Mine was the mount at the rear of the engine, the middle was no longer attached to the outside lol :(

Torque mounts for sure, mine was the same. They came off in pieces.

Best bet if you are changing for OEM mounts is pack them with Tigerseal so they don't break again!

time for some innovative engine mounts. bring on the cabin vibration! :))

I'm not really wanting to go with billet mounts as much as I'd love them as I'm looking to take it off the road September and not bring it back until it has a different engine in it...
So it seems a bit of a waste getting new pretty hard billet mounts just for the summer, as much as I love having a vibrating car :( I've got a few track days coming up though so I cant really just ignore it.
The rear mount and gearbox side have defintely been changed in January...If i grab the engine and try to rock it it doesnt move at all, but I'm convinced its the engine mounts.
Not really sure what to do :( They all look okay, a few crease sort of cracks but thats about it...
