lloyds ek9 restoration + k-swap

i only had the car 3 days when this happened,

Guys what the flip happened to this motor?

Missed a gear and it dropped all the valves and ate it self,

havent made any updates on this in quite a while as i blew the engine in my daily driver, (euroR) and then got carried away and done a turbo conversion instead of leaving it alone, then i had to buy a little ek3 to replace it, but ended up putting all my old parts that i wont be refitting to the ek9 on it,

my old ek9 running gear also ended up finding a new home,

and now iv finally managed to get a wee bit done to the '9' before i go back to collage,

some goodies

delighted to be bolting bits back on again

thats all iv done now, waiting on my bushing kit, rear camber and lower control arms to arrive and it will be rolling once again,

I know dean, iv got a problem I think finish ek9 first I think before any more projects,.... Would love a 96spec dc2 though,

I have to go to collage now for 10weeks to do the theory part of my apprenticeship, it takes roughly around 4 years to become qualified, during that time you spend 40 weeks in collage and the rest in the workshop,

its red oxide primer, good anti-corrosion barrier.

as elchunk says it is a corrosion barrier, i used wurth rust-stop primer, coated then with wurth seal-fix, which is a rubber coating to prevent stone chips, and finally a good coat of championship white paint, it will be painfull to watch it getting dirty,
