I'm planning a custom Wide Body kit for this car, you'll just have to wait until it's done and the patent sold before it's revealed. Should be sometime this year. So, that's the list, probably not great, but i'm not rich, and it's the best i can do on a budget.

widebody huh? i dont think your gonna get much lover over here about that, what country are you in?

Hey you!! Why do you edit others posts?? :D

easy tiger :wow:, i didnt edit his post, i merged them, he had two posts, each one listing different mods, and it was clear he was having trouble posting all his mods in one post, so i did it for him :nice:

I'm in Kansas City, USA. You're right, there may not be a whole lot of enthusiasm for a widebody kit from the die-hard EK9 enthusiasts, you are dedicated to the holy grail of JDM, but for people like me, who view their cars as a piece of art, the idea is very appealing. After unveiling my finished project, i have no doubt that it will be a popular alternative to the Feels kit. Who knows, I just know that my Civic will be one of a kind, and whether or not it gains any following, I'll be happy with what I have created, and I guess that's all that matters.

you are dedicated to the holy grail of JDM,

not really, i have suspension techniques sway bars, nitto tires, eibach springs with koni shocks, blox lca's, aem ems, turbonetics turbo, earls brake lines, and when my car was NA it had a edelbrock header and velocity stack with a KN filter, my point is none of these parts are jdm.

not only that i shaved my antenna, license plate holes, and all my emblems so i undertstand your desire to be different.

the reason i am against wide body kits or any body kits for that matter is becuase first i dont like the looks, second fiberglass always cracks, they add excessive weight, and 99% have not been through a wind tunnel. i hate to be so negative but nobody even uses the feels widebody anymore, it lost its popularity before the turn of the millenium, if you can make a wide body and make money off it i whish you the best of luck, i just dont see it happening. but goodluck with the build i look forward to seeing your finished product.

I have to agree with what you say about fiberglass :( but the 99% of the cracks concern the front bumper which hits everything from stones to insects or touching the ground and its not really expensive to restore the damages once a while. I have a buddy club complete body kit (front - rear bumpers, sideskirts) and I don't know if it had gone through a wind tunnel, but the air flow is very good and I haven't noticed any problems with air resistance at high speeds. My worst choice I made for the car so far, and which I have terribly regret is when I replaced my 15" 4.5 Kgs Rays TE37s for some unknown 17" 10+ Kgs PS-X and the car has transormed into something different........:angry2::angry2::angry2:
In terms of weight, I think fiberglass isn't so heavy compared to plastic. I believe the aftermarket bigger cams I installed have added more weight than the body kit.
And I think this body kit gives to the EK more aggressive look!!

I mistyped my last post, it should have said "those who are..." not "you are...." But anyway, the last post wasn't directed at you, I've seen your mods list, and I understand that it's not die-hard JDM. I was pretty impressed by the list though. How do you like the Turbonetics system. My next major purchase for this car is a turbo system, hence the reason i'm still running on the stock manifold. I figured it was better to save the money toward the turbo that drop $400 on a header that will eventually be replaced.

I'll be sure to drop some pics of the body kit, when it's nearing completion. Right now it exists only in a 3D generation program and my original drawings. Maybe i could take the 3D design to a company like Wings West, and have them put the design through a virtual drag test. I don't know if that's a possibility, but you brought up a good point about the wind tunnel. My main goal is to get about 70-80 lbs of downforce at 130mph, not a lot, but then again, it's a Civic. I'll see what i can do.

 no words can describe the insanity of that trade. i hope you at least made some money?

Blindman: wings west is know owned by VIS racing, there really good guys hit them up, maybe they can help you out on the drag test. good idea on keeping the stock manifold, my turbo kit is not all from turbonetics, check out my build log for a list of all the parts i used:

i really enjoyed it while it lasted, unfortunately i had a bad tune so i melted a piston, but it was worth every penny!!!! the car was really fast!! i ran 13.4 at 109 with 2 people in the car spinning tires past half track!!!

Nice! I'm not sure what i'll be able to get on the quater, i'm building my car to be a road racer. I just get a kick out of carving corners at high speed. Before the swap, with that POS D16Y7 motor, with suspension, clutch, and without the bushing kit, my car could pull a U-turn at about 50 with minimal squeal from the stock SP-60s. I really need to get some better rubber to the road, but rims and tires are expensive. they should be coming in the next few months. What's your take on 5Ziegen?

You have no idea how much I've regret that silly move I made after I decided to start building the car performance wise but what drove me to this was that these 17" gold painted PS-X wheels (do you know them??:wow:) have better look than the 15" Rays (to me) but I had no idea what would have been the effects!! :angry2: In general, I went from 18 kgs total rims weight to 40+ kgs plus the rest of the consequenses that I'm sure you already know.
Money?? In case you want to buy those wheels you need around 850 CYP(Cyprus Pounds) without the tires which is equivalent to $1700. I've sold them for 400 CYP with the tires on but in quite bad shape. Was that good??
p.s I was not really needed the money, but I decided that an extra set of wheels was unnecessary! And now I hit my head on the wall until I bleed!!:angry2::angry2:

I'm running a 5Zigen header :woot: You will never regret it if you buy it. Great midrange gains (perfect for you as a street racer :D), excellent engine noise, I'm saying this from the bottom of my heart!!

Hey- here's some pics from the swap, if they load. I've got more, but they're stuck on the camera at the moment. The crazy kid in my engine bay is my friend Justin.
