Those bottle are crazy!

So today I managed to get some time to finally work on the LCA's for the rears.
This is what they looked like after pressing the bushes out.

So I took them over to the shot blasting machine, to strip all dirt and paint off ready for a fresh coat of POR15

And then both of them finished up with the fine grit

Then painted them up with the POR15, getting better at applying this stuff now

So when these dry ill get the bushes pressed in. Then i'm ready to get the car back on all 4 wheels! (still need handbrake cables)

If anyone needs shot blasting done pm me and I can sort you out extremely low prices.

I have used a product called POR15 a lot of the guys in the states seem to use it. So far im really impressed with it.

Drove to reading to pick up a Recaro from Mark EE9, wasnt particularly looking out for one but it was such a good offer, I couldn't refuse.

2012+-+1

Hoping to get the bushes pressed in tomorrow, then get the car on the ground next week!

very nice all the best bud was the front panel a ball ache to replace how did you do it?

As long as you spend the time drilling out the spot welds properly and take your time aligning all the panels its ok. Get all the panels on and gap everything before you go near a welder!

Spent some more time paintng parts with POR and touched up the LCA's

LCA's finished

As you can see the middle bushes don't fit, so I'm not sure if you accidentally sent me the wrong ones Harris but ill PM you

So now need to find some bushes again...

So today I finished work early and decided to get out and do what I could.
Took some pictures so you guys can see the current set up and state of the car.

Notice the different colour in the rust treatment paint. I didnt mix it up properly on the right hand side :/
Its not a final finish anyway. The engine will get dropped at a later date and the bay properly painted.

Not really an update, but my mate Ed (Garaculas) came round on the weekend with his new DC2, such a gorgeous car and stunning example. Spoon gearset in this is incredible!

Looking good! :) According to the manual, it seems you've fitted the camber arms upside down, unfortunately..

What X brace did you end up buying? Your car is looking sick.
The grey underseal is pretty cool, also makes it obvious if anything is leaking, unlike standard black underseal.

Lol I had a feeling they were on upside down! ill hopefully be fitting the rear arms this weekend, If i recieve the bushes in time! Finally get this thing on its wheels.

Probably not the end of the world if they were. I see there's a race on then, I'm hoping to get mine on the road this weekend as well. It's on.

I bought the Miracle Brace back in Feb, fitted it, then took it off and now fitted back again haha! Picking up the shell on the 11th if all goes to plan! so look out for an update ;) Yeah that's actually pretty smart! though black in my opinion looks cleaner (even though these things can get your hands manky haha) since I'll be respraying the 9 in black! but it's a good shout about looking out for leaks though!
