Koyo radiator and Mugen airbox

I'm using the mugen airbox now with standard stock radiator.

Recently I just come across a piece of mint condition koyo radiator which I can't resist so I have decided to get my hand on one of these.

HOwever, I realized that the engine bay is already very tight once I installed the mugen airbox and I don't think I can squish that koyo radiator in since it's only 2cm of clearance between the Mugen airbox and stock radiator. The koyo radiator is x2 thicker than the stock.

So, is there a way to get both installed by modifying the mugen air box to make more room and clearance?

OR

I have to choose one of them?

Anyone encounter this before?

is this really the case as i have a koyo rad and was planning for a mugen intake!
can anyone confirm please?

if the fitment is an issue then just switch to a slim fan like Blinx said or a push fan! thats what I did.
