k20a2 eg

Awesme project man,and if you like the type r stickers on there then leave them on :) thats the way i like to think anyway ha
Loving the geen, colour coding should be very nice and just an all round nice car!

Type R stickers look smart , Got them on my Eg6 with a B18c in it. That did start life as a DX , This is not a DX as has black side mouldings , a DX has none ( super light weight )

no stickers at all is my vote. I do like the green power tho. :nice: when do you expect it to be done?

cheers guys, it should hopefully be done by April for the first local sprint meeting (but on the roads before that) :D

just a quick update on this:

Have been so busy havent managed to do much to it but, a friend of mine wrote off his integra so we have fitted the dash into our eg. As well as the front recaro seats. Looks nice, although they do need a proper clean some time soon!
:)

Also got some skunk2 pro-s coilovers on it now and the bigger breaks.

These wheels are also awaiting tyres

At the moment we are using whatever free time we have and will be giving it a major clean and tinting the back windows to make it look JDM. The door cards are also off and being re-trimmed because they didn't line up with the new dash.

Bits we are waiting on are shifter cables, AEM hybrid induction kit, tyres, harnesses, (enquiries have been made about roll cages). Big progress should be made over the next few months

wouldnt colour code a white eg... take the type r stickers off and put a nice wee "f@#k your type R" sticker on the back. lighter than most type R's with a bigger donkey. :D

Sell the Recaros and buy a pair of fixed bucket seats, no point in stripping the interior and then putting in two obese arm-chairs! :p

Jimbob has a pair of Sparco bucket seats which would fit perfectly! And a bargain!

yeh fixed buckets specially for a track car!!! oem's dont give the support!

Stock Reacros definitely are not the lightest seats going.

As for support, imo they are good enough. A proper fixed bucket racing seat will be better but you compromise movement for daily use.

Like said, if its an all out track car go for the racing seats.

its only goin to be used for local sprint events and hill climbs cos that all we have on my little island.

We might be getting some better seats, but I had an operation on my back done last year and these are a good option for now lol, a 22 year old and already need padded seats!

I haven't updated this post for ages because the car has sat around not doing a lot but me and my friend I share it with have started to work on it again as we've got another few civic projects that we are starting and want to finish this first.

He has got hold of the throttle bodies in the picture and fitted them. I don't really know much about them to be honest as I lost a bit of interest when buying a flat but now I am quite keen again!

Updates are that we have tidied up all of the wiring and fitted the original dash back in as it was a nicer fit. Everything is currently out while we spray the interior floor white.

Our plans are to powder coat the roll cage gloss black, get 2 bucket seats (as the recaro's will be going in an ek we have), tidy up all of the engine bay. Put the engine back in and get it running on the throttle bodies and maybe get the whole exterior of the car sprayed.

I will get some better photos as we progress.

What are people opinions of the throttle bodies? Is it worth buying a mappable ECU and getting it all sorted or just go back to how we had it?

Your gonna need a mappable ECU any way dude: K100, KPRO, DTA etc. How often you drive it would be the main factor for me, weekend warrior keep the bodies'.

excellent that your bringing it back!

Luckily we've got a spare bonnet that isn't in perfect condition so we can modify that one to use with the TB.

Yeah, we used to use it with the ECU for the engine and it was fine. The only problem with the TB is that living in Guernsey with nobody to set up a good map for us it adds a lot to the cost as we would have to get the ferry to the mainland for a little bit of a tune :nerv:

And what 689R said, you need in anyway a mappable ecu. If i were you i would chose for Kpro. You can change really anything.

Edit: you can do it your own if you have a notebook and you know what you are doing.
