k20a in corsa shell

It's at leasy 5-6k to put a K20 in a Civic. Let alone a Corsa, for which you'll need customs shafts, custom mounts etc. So, even though I would have respect for the custom work you would do, it's completely insane in terms of cost. On top of that will be the costs of turbo'ing the K20. Will probably all add up to more than 10k.

I dunno who is charging 5-6k for a k20 swap in a civic in the UK but that is CRAZY money!! I can get a k20a2, gearbox, drives, loom and k20a ecu for 1800euro over here..all of the k20's over here don't go that cheap but they are know where near 5k :nono:

sorry dan if insulted u in any way. if it mean that much to u i wont do it

it would be class why are you sorry if u insulted some1 whos mind is purley based on honda. Mate if it fits i'd try it. And here thats a good bit of power coming from the engine to put in somthing that weighs as much as a beancan lol. Some power to weight ratio there. Ask a mechanic who works on things like this often.

I was basing that on UK engine prices. 1800 for a K20 (then you have NO LSD). Here come the parts (roughly):
- Shafts 500
- Mounts 500
- K-Pro 800
- Shifterbox etc 200-300
- Header 600
Makes 2600 for the most expensive parts. 4200 inc engine. Ex labour.

And then there are many more small parts which all add up quickly! You're greatly underestimating the costs of a K20 swap into any earlier Civic.

just stick a z20let into corsa...

i have a corsa -c its pants lol

If he could spell / bothered to spell check I might have taken this seriously.

i'd rather put a k20 in a shopping trolley. at least you can control one of them. and i have a corsa so im not being biased. they're crap! :))

Awww where'd the RWD Civic thread go. If you're out there Hondavti, I made this for you, it's the closest you will get to the real thing.

The 'How To' is simple:

Step 1. Move your steering wheel to the rear of the car.
Step 2. Turn your seat around.
Step 3. Enjoy your RWD Civic!

What the hell is it with these clowns joining up just post about their max power pipe dreams? Really starting to lower the tone of the forum I feel. :(

na i deleted all his posts but havn't banned him, gave him another chance to contribute sensibly to the site :nice:

and moved this to off topic, just another daft thread cluttering up the general section

Hmm. I think this guy is dreaming and may not have the experience to actually do this but. Back in 98 Me and my mate put a Xe into my nova, I was only 19 and i doubt anyone that age could insure it now. It was a ****ing riot and I still miss that car.
Tbh the engine was way to heavy for the chassis and would constantly trash ball joints and top mounts.
If one had a clean Corsa shell all the K20 parts and an understanding of the need to reinforce the shell and uprate suspension components accordingly it could add up to a good package. There are lots of corsas with heavy iron block Xe's in running around with no issues. A K20 is larger but I would guess similar in weight to an XE due to its alum block.
Sleeper cars like this make me giggle and I'd like to see one built but If I had a corsa I'd go Xe for the simplicity.
