I decided to change the oil today, basically I wasn't happy with how quickly the Silkolene Pro S 5w40 is burning, it's not exactly cheap. I figured if my engines going to burn it so quickly I might aswell stick in some (perfectly adequate) cheaper Castrol GTX 10w40.
Anyway all was going well untill I had to remove the oil filter. It took over an hour tried 2 different oil filter removal tools and eventually just whacked a screwdriver through it as I was getting frustrated. Anyway, job done...
I'm just looking at making it a bit easier for next time, came across K&N oil filters and noticed they have a nut on the top so you can get a spanner on it. K&N Oil Filters - Oil Filters for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, ATV's, Boats, and more!
Anyone tried these? Are they as good as the HAMP I'm using?
