Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Only video I have.

On full boost the noise consumes you! It's like bbbwwwwaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh chooooo
Like a massive sneeze basically lol

Great work! I bet your very happy with the results

That power at 1bar is more than enough for a FWD car that light and its nice to see the torque curve climbing through the revs

Hopefully it remains reliable and you will have a lot of fun on track with it!

Yep, fast enough for me at least.
It's more like a supercharged car than turbo, much like before the 16b went tbh. Just more of it lol
Plenty of safety margin in it aswell, with what happened to the last one I want enough head room should I catch some bad fuel or something else starts going wrong.
Proof is in the pudding, one my new seats arrive I'll be booking brands
Just ticked over 700miles btw lol

Well done, great results and good to see that you got exactly what you aimed for with the way the engine behaves :)

Yeah romain knew what I wanted and delivered as usual.
Haven't tried 1bar in 2nd yet, probably save that for my track tyres, these poor old proxes are like 5years old and aren't the best of tyres when new.

Amazing! So pleased for you! Hopefully see it at a track day soon

Excellent Jesse

Glad you've retained some of the classic Honda high-revving characteristics and not purely chased numbers. Looking forward to more!

Yeah me too. The power and torque still grows with the revs so you still have to work it to get everything out of it.

Glad to read it all worked out. Job well done on building the engine :nice:

Not sure I'd have done it with out your advice tbh.
So thanks for that!

Murray I beleive its alittle over 300WHP but didn't get an exact number.

Next time out on track you will now realise keeping away from faster cars is abit easier, or passing cars!
Looking forward to some track videos.

yeah I can't wait to get back out there tbh. My drivings going to have gone downhill but time and practise I'll get back into it.
Just waiting for my seats to arrive then I'll get booked at brands.

Nice work Jesse :nice:

Looks to off paid off nicely. Going to be a good year of track hooning for you :D

I hope and pray mate. The last decent year I had was with the old b18 ek9 that met its end at brands. Haven't been back since so...

Forgot to mention I had another map put on a spare chip, basically should I ever leave the car unattended at say a bodyshop or alignment place etc I can install what I've called the "idiot chip" this basically disables the whole performance aspect of the engine. No vtec and no boost.
So should bodge-it-johnny fancy a drive in my ek9 he'll be pretty surprised by how slow it is and soon park it back up safe. So worst he can do is bang a lowered Rev limiter whilst the engine is cold, think romain said the limiters like 4.5k so even that's not much effort for this engine.
I'll probably install this chip when I'm on holiday aswell. My dad loves a cheeky drive out lol

I think all performance cars should have an idiot mode tbh. World would be a better place.

I'm sure it will be fine. You've spent the money on the right bits and looks comfortable making those numbers.

Ahahaha! That idiot chip is top!

I've begun to wonder if the idiot chip should be permanently installed tbh lol

I thought so too, one of the many reasons I try not to get work done on the car.
That and I'm tight as ducks backside lol

Haha that's superb, think we're all in the same boat I much prefer attempting something myself before forking out garage rates
