jdm b18c5 swap info needed

aight, wanting to order a full swap b18c5 from japan, but i need to know what additional parts i might need so it can drop in my 2000 usdm ek. sites sell shift linkage and mounts included, but i hear ima need to buy some different brackets and mounts, and i need info for the wiring, i wanna know this stuff so i dont spend money foolishly, and just ask for what i do actually need.
 
engine,box, drives, linkage,ecu, loom, mounts ( yours might work if its d series the mounts will work for b series)
 
yeah but will the linkage from the engine im buying work for my ek?or can i use any manual d series linkage?

another question is the will the axles spline to my 4 by 100 stock hub? or do i swap those out to, and if so from what yr or modle honda.
 
I think you will need the linkage off a Vti or EK9 if the linkage i comes with wont fitt as it maybe different lengths but wouldnt be to difficult to chop and weld.

As to the hubs i think it depends on what brake setup it on it at the moment, as in what modle EK do you have?? I think the hubs you will need are the ones with a 262mm disc setup as in a ESi or Vti not to sure what the US equivilants are.

The mounting points on the car will be the same but you will need the mounts for the engine your puting in.

Plus so that you know a B18C5 is the US version not JDM they are only 187hp as they have a lower compression ratio, crapier exhaust and different map.

Mounts - 99-00 Civic Si (rear tranny bracket/driver block mount), everything else mounts that come with the engine. you can use stock mounts if want
Axles - 94-01 Integra, 94-97 Del Sol VTEC or 99-00 Civic SiLinkage - 94-01 Integra or 99-00 Civic Si.
Harness - Modified 96-98 EX or HX
 
Just make sure the B18C5 is a 99-00 so it can be just plug-n-play...you can use the ITR axels with your setup & use the ITR shift linkage...But you will need the 99-00 Si Tranny bracket (L-bracket)...you will need to change the driver side (USDM) mount bracket thats bolts to the Motor mount from a Si....GEt hasport mounts to handel all that roar
 
98 spec r is what im looking for. not a c5, but dag, im loving all this info.
 
is the head gasket for a c5 the same as for the b18c spec r? or how do i get replacement parts for the internals?
 
hea sum stuff Genuine Honda Parts. if going replace the internals might well u get aftermarket partsfor allmotor or trubo. check out web sites. inline built's motors try emailing them.
 
oh yes.. thank you 808 army. oh , and im thinking of getting a act clutch kit, but their only choice in integra type r is a c5. will the clutch kit work with a spec r? or will i have to call.
 
there both the same. act or exedy good clutchs. i would just get one for right motor. jdm b18c an the c5 same. c5 is just us made motor.

need some help let me know. i did same swap on my ek took me 3 months because i lag on geting parts i needed for it and most my time went to my job.
