Hey!

Haven't got much knowledge on changing of cams! But my mods so far are Mongoose De-Cat exhaust system, 5zigen 4-2-1 manifold and an AEM v2 Long arm induction kit.

So in the near future i'll be looking to change some internals on my B16a2 engine, was just wondering what else needs to be changed when putting in ITR or CTR cams in?

Thanks! :p

you need to also change valve springs and retainers... it also be a good time to change the timing belt and water pump if needed...

At the very least. To see best results get it mapped as well and have a thinner head gasket or head skimmed to raise the compression. Also adjustable cam gears would be a very good idea indeed this is so you can move the power and torque arround.

If memory serves me right you only have to change one side of the valves springs. can't remember whether its exhaust side or inlet but one is actually stiffer then type r springs.

TBH don't tune a B16A2 i was going down that route but cost overall and reliability will never exceed the power of an engine swap or forced induction.

:nice:
