Irish lads NCT question

there was talks of a law coming in where engine codes get checked. would an ek4 with a b20 instead of b16 get through the nct? or what happens if it is noticed?

any help appreciated :)
 
It will now, but with the new conditions it most definately will not.
As said one way around it is a grinder and a punch...but be warned that is Highly Illegal!
A friend of mine has a highly modified eg6 with a built b20. He also has a spare eg6 dual carb.
When he goes for the nct he brings the dual carb in and it flies through. Then just puts the disc on the window of his other eg6. The spare car is then parked up in a garage under a cover for another year.
I suppose this way is just as bad as the other!!
 
get a change of particulars form from the tax office change the engine size, then tax it and insure it correctly.

Be no hassle then.
 
They get through no problem . but should be insured properly !
 
as long as it tuned ok and emmission are grand thats all the nct want to c..
pass no baller.. my bro has a ej9 with vti and passed no prob!!:))
