hey all, just wanna make sure this is right, my car idels at about 1k when my engine is warmed up and about 1.5k when its cold?

reason i ask is because my eg vti only use to idel about 0.7k when it was warm,

so is that about right for the ek9?

same with my old EG VTI dan, the EK9 seems to idle a lot higher.. Remember reading somewhere on this forum that the JDM spec ECU's idle higher, so nothing to worry about

yeah this is normal mate all the ek9s i have seen and worked on all idle around 1k

mine idles at about 750 rpm once fully warm............

when i got it it idled at 1k when warm but the throttle cable had been tightened too much, check it out :nice:

1500rpm's when cold is the ECU trying to warm the engine quickly; this is perfectly normal.
Check the FITV function, the IACV for clogging, and the throttle plate for sticking. It could be tightened too much as Stevenek9 explained.

What should this idle at? My B18C swap sits at 1650 on wam up and 1050 when warm..... Surely not normal?
