Hey all...

I am at University and I have a project due in on Tuesday 8th April (Yes...4 days. LOL)

It has 2 parts to it.

Part 1, create a database from scratch to enable users to browse and selects Books, CD's & DVD's to take out on loan. (Sort of a library thingy!)

Part 2, Create a 3 page website using HTML (coded in Notepad and NOT a program such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage etc...), to promote the library.

My idea is to have the Main page as a sort of welcome to our library page, 2nd page as a see what we can offer you page and the last page as an extras page to include links, mailto's, contact details etc etc...

My question is though...does anybody wanna do it for me? LOL

I have not been taught much HTML coding and know I'm gunna fail this badly if I don't seek help.

If someone would be willing enough to create the 3 pages for me and put some stuff on it, such as basic text and **** so I can edit it after and make it my own, that would be awesome!

It's like...for me...I don't fully understand it, but if I have the basics infront of me, I can crack on and begin to understand it better.

eg. I am not a mechanic, but after watching stuff and having basic help, I have gained the knowledge and confidence to do it myself and help others.

I hope you don't think I am just lazy and trying to get someone to do my work, cos I'm not.

But my deadline is really close and I have been snowed down with teh other 5 pieces of coursework that I have got. :(

Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks!

What kind of database are you using?

And as you are accessing a database, what server-side programming language are you allowed to use?

Unfortunately, this isn't as simple as writing HTML.

Sorry dude...

The database isn't really anything to do with the website, apart from to promote it.

We don't have to link to it or anything. This is the criteria set for it...

Attachment 2: Web Site Specification (30%)

You are required to produce simple website explaining and evaluating your Database created before, using HTML web pages consisting of three documents using Microsoft Notepad. It is fairly easy to create web pages in Notepad, providing you have sufficient knowledge of HTML features and tags to use. What is more difficult is creating a site that is interesting, well designed and informative.
Requirements
The basic contents to be included in your website are as follows:
Use of paragraphs
Use of headers
Use of CSS for Formatting
Use of list(s)
Use of Hypertext link(s)
Use of image(s)
Use of table(s)
Use of Mailto

To extend the range of features of your web pages you may want to include one or more of the following:
Preformatted text
Extended quotations
Forced line breaks
Horizontal rules
More links (e.g. to other web resources, between documents, between sections of different documents, between sections of current document, images as hyperlinks)

Hope that helps a bit.

This is only very basic foundation stuff, so it is not gunna be hard I don't think.
I hope not anyway. LOL

We have created a very basic database in Mircosoft Access.

What is your major mate? :) Is it Computer Science? I'm in DEEP trouble with Artificial intelligence too! In fact I'm desperate! I cannot think like a robot LOL!! :nerv:

Btw, I have never tried HTML as I was not forced to learn it up to now lol, zero knowlegde :angry2:

I am doing general computing and can move onto a specific area next year or the year after.

Funnily enough, I am thinking about doing web based design! LOL
