Hi guys

I recently did a dc2 hub/brake conversion on my EG with new disks and pads whilst maintaining the standard master cylinder.

Ive noticed that the rear caliper piston doesnt move at all.

Its not seized, i did twist the piston back in, however upon pressing the brake pedal the piston does not come out.

The brake lines were still connected at the time i was checking.

the seals are in good nick.

what do you guys think ?

Did you swap out the proportioning valve?

The rear disc prop valves proportion more fluid to the rears than the rear drum prop valves

Swap it out and bleed the brakes

so i researched hard and found the solution.

all i had to do was pull the handbrake 10 times hard and then press the brake pedal 10 times, BAM ! it works fine now.

Here we go again, NO you do not need do this! Why? because I have EJ6 master Cyl & oem PorP valve on my 5-lug conversion...sheesh!
