I Am currently using tein superstreet suspension on my ek4, and have it at its lowest ride height, however its really not that low, i was wondering if any body had any tips on any aftermarket parts that would help lower it abit more, as i dont really want to have to fork out on another set of coilovers. Anything would b apreciated especially a website that may sell what ever it may b.

Cheers

Nice first post. If you havnt already worked out, your suspension is the only thing that determines your ride height, if it's not want you want then your gonna need to change it?

Having your car too low may look good but its gonna handle like an old skateboard. Most people would be happy with a set of Tein's :)

you can get them lower buy screwing the coil up or just take coilovers out and cut a bit of the bottom off,no a few boys did that lol

Screwing them up? Am i been a twat? Lol but i thought if you set the two locking lower spring seats down as far as they wil go on the thread then the car wil b sitting at its lowest point?

If I were you, I'd go and ask on Civiclife, they're more into that sort of thing.

No you are rite..screwing :welcome:them down is lowering it..down is low up is high..tein are known not to be great for going low..even the springs dont realy lower the car much at all.

it depends what type of coilovers you have. if you have fully adjustables then preloading the spring by winding the rings up will allow more threads that can be wound down into the base. that would also create a higher spring rate too which you might not want. i have a set of d2 coilovers and they are bottom out on the front. the only way for me to go lower is to cut the bottom off which i am not very happy to do. go for some miester r super lows.
