Everytime I wash my car my filter gets wet. Thats why i always put plastic before washing. I've noticed theres a small opening on the side where water can go to.

You can buy a sheild to put around the filter to stop this just dont no where you get them im sure someone on here will no

You don't need to worry about it, I drove my car with the arch liner missing in heavy rain over a couple of months and it never affected it.

Did need a bloody good clean once the weather cleared up though!

hydro shield is just kind of repelent. If you wanna be 100% sure your car dont hydro-lock than go with by pass valve, aem also doing this

btw i have for sell new aem hydro shield X-1035RD if you need

happened to a member stuarty on here from up my way, think it was the same v2, sucked up water and hydro-lock'd the engine :(( so better safe than sorry in my book :nice:

Good idea guys!!! i will try to locate one locally. if its not available I will order in the US. its exactly the same material used for my harley screaming eagle heavy breather waterproof guard w/c I always leave on just incase it suddenly rains..

Yes, AEM has bypass valve, but unfortunately not for V2.

If you use V2, the only thing what you can use, the air filter wrap.
