I actually really like the new designs, teams are trying to push as much air under the car in this season as you are now restricted in terms of downforce going over the top of the car. they will take a bit of time getting used to however.
In terms of the rules, yes I agree some are a bit stupid; double points etc. However the "cleaner" F1 regs was a must to be honest, F1 is suppose to be a benchmark in technology and with most road car's going turbo having F1 still in N/A wouldn't make sense, that being said I feel the power/fuel flow should have been allowed to increase as the weight of these car's are quite a bit heavier than last years, yet the engines are producing less power and down force from the aero, also the FIA's rule of only allowing teams to use 5 engines instead of 8 is absolutely stupid in my opinion especially this year when engine reliability will play a large roll in who will win the championship, they should have reduced engine amounts once per year until reliability is no longer an issue.
