i have a jdm dc2 96 ecu chiped and i want a stantard one. how much its worth to sell it?
the vtec is on 5200 and the rev limit around 9000.this ecu is come from japan with the engine i buy.when i open the ecu you can see that the big chip inside is replace and there is a sticker with 5200/9000.the ecu is working perfect
thanks

can you put a piccie up?

Chipped OBD2 ecus are something of a rarity in the UK.

Sounds standard to me? I i thought all tegs kicked at 5200 and redline at 9000.

Spoon chips have spoon wrote on them.. Is there a brand name on the chip anywere? I have a standard dc2 ecu for sale if its any use to you!?

to open the ecu you have to brake a seal tape on the sides. on the tape is write somthing in japan . i dont know the make of the chip. maybe the weekend i open the ecu againg and check if is write something on the big chip

I'd get the writing translated before opening it up, I wouldn't buy a spoon ecu if the tape wasn't intact.

the sides stickers write on them AUTHENTIC PRODUCT.inside you can see that the big chip is new and write on it OKI-JAPAN. on the side there is a sticker and write on it 5200/9000 DC2RYHI.
if someone wants i can send him photos.
thanks

is the chip removable...last time I checked my pct it had a OKI-Japan chip.. looks like you just have a oem ecu with a stock chip..

does it look anything like this:

That is a std 96spec teg ECU with the chip socketed, is just running a std 96spec chip. Oki do the chips for these so they will always be Oki - Japan chips, the 66507 is a one time programmable trip so you cant re-write them like OBD1 ecus, but for the likes of spoon and Mugen they are pretty handy ;)

the chip is not removable.its solder direct on the board, put you can see that the solder joins is make by hand. maybe the chip is oem with different program on it. thats why the vtec is on 5200 rpm and the rev limit on 9000

finaly i have pictures:clap:
