because the eight that i've seen so far have been real dogs

Body panels not lined up, badly repaired accident damage, RUST (on a Jap import ), filler in the wings.

So how many ek9's did you see before you were happy to part with your hard earned? :)

Have you thought about importing one over, or getting a reputable company to import you one dude?

In person none, but on internet like 100! lol!

I here what your saying lads, but the good dealers most probs won't take a part exchange. :(

I would'nt do a part exchange mate. You always end up getting peanuts for your car, then the week after see it up for sale at the garage for nearly twice the price:(
Why not sell it privately?

researched plenty but went to see 2. one was crashed fairly badly and the other was dog rough. then i saw mine nd put a deposit on it straight away.

This thread gettin me a little worried now. I was thinking about importing an ek9 via AutoAdvan. Has anybody dealt with them in the past?

Wow!

Bet that was an interesting drive back lol.

aye the drive home was fun, twice iv done that now so kinda enjoyable esp in a new motor. Is it me or does every1 in England seem to drive very slow?! lol

My importer was really good about getting me a "clean" one. He showed me probably 4 before I chose the one I got.

Good luck with the search. I have seen alot of ropey ones coming in through the UK car auctions in the last 8 weeks. So check thoroughly and dont be tempted by the cheapest ones. You usually get what you pay for.

When my car is ready to sell in a few weeks you may also be ready to buy, give me a shout or feel free to ask for any buying advise.

Thanks Duncan

i think i dropped on with mine first one i looked at and it was mint other than a little scuff on the rear bumper, which seem to come with most imports off the boats. the underneath of it you could eat your dinner off not one spec of rust/corrosion. when i saw i couldn't belive how clean it was.

thing is most people dont bother under sealing imports or not doing it properly they dont come with anything and here in the uk you defently need some. me and a mate spent a week doing mine bumpers off all splash guards etc to be sure it was done proper and stayed mint

its coming upto a year of ownership at the end of the month and its still running well

cheers
mitch
