i hate to say it but i think it is time to sell the ek and go for something that i really have a passion for.. for as long as i can rmbr i have always had a love for mk2 escorts, and twincams, bootcam,, so i am in two minds, and wondering is it possible to swap a ek4 sir 96 only passed the nct for a clean bootcam, as we all know times are harsh and money is super tight, but is it possible,, will throw up a spec list of the civic later on, its in the gallery today,,
 
I think you'd be best going on a ford forum or a mixed car forum for a swap like that dude, good luck though mate :nice:
 
i cant even imagine me getting out of the honda game...but good luck with whatever your plans are...
 
cheers for the advice lads, anyone on this that knows people that have bootcams that might be interested in doing a swap for a clean civic. have had a look round on some ford sites and rwd sites...
 
Probably me being thick as pig s*** but what is bootcam?
 
that is was funky looking MK1, but i have to agree with pat70 about the MK2's, there is just something about them you have to love, a few friends of the familys have millington MK2 rally cars (its handy when my dad is big into rallying :p), there something else to go and the noise :drool: a few years back my dad had a MK2 escort shell and was going to put the s2k running gear into it but he never got around to it so he sold everything on :( its still a project i think would be worth doing someday :nice:

your not thick lad, a lot of people get mixed up,, a bootam is still a twincam but it,s dosent have the big ass on the back, they only way to describe it is it looks a bit like the mk2 escorts at the back,, they just look savage,, would have to be my choice, either that now or a mk2,

well lad, anyone up your end of the country that would be interested in doing a swap,, as i said the civic is only after passing the nct till march 2013, its in the gallery there if anyone wants to have a look,,

i had a look at it there, nice tidy car you have mate, im not sure but i'll ask around for you anyway, is it def a twincam you want? any particular colour?

def a twincam man, but not a coupe, a booter and not a trueno.. not too fussed on the colour, just something nice and clean, that isnt falling apart or diff trouble, or gearbox trouble,, all the usaul thinga, good sills and pockets, the usaul stuff..
 
ok here is the spec i said i would put up..

type r front and back bumpers
type r front and back lip kit
tein flex coilovers with height and damper adjustable
rb drift lightweight alloys 15"s
dc sports manifold
mugen twinloop cat back
alarm with remote start
apexi neo,, for remap
fully redone s80 gearbox only fitted
tenzo r steering wheel
type r spec back lights
eyebrow kit
cold air feed in the front bumper
type r gear knob
hid kit.. brand new bulbs just gone in the hid kit
and last but not least nct till march 2013.
thats the spec for the car, good car, dosent get dogged, serviced every 5k, not a oil burner. quick car also..:nice:
 
why dont you put it up for sale then on the likes of gumtree or pistonheads etc. stating you wish to px for the coupes or escorts???? instead of just coming onto a forum to try and sell your wagon??????? :nice:
 
because lad it is a forum, and i was looking for advice. thats why i had it here looking for info on what people thought,, even got good feedback from the donegal boys,, cheers lads,, so i dont see a peoblem,, that ok with you bud,,

:nice:, i was chatting to a few lads at the weekend pat about the bootcam's but there rarer than i thought, the lads i was chatting to only have coupes so im not sure now were your going to get one. the donegal rally is coming up soon and thats the time all the bootcams and coupes come out so if i see one for sale, i'll let you no
