Hi guys,
As the title says, I'm new and need some advice.
I've been really interested in EK9's for a few months now, and basically Im looking at getting a civic 1.4 SE and putting a B16B into it (with gearbox) I would be getting new engine mounts, induction kit, full exhaust + manifold, new dials, coilovers, alloys, ek9 bumpers + skirts + spoiler, and i will be doing the interior aswell and many other 'look' mods, but If anyone can suggest where I can buy a good B16B or where i can get one fitted, I live in the south east so the closer the better but can travel. I know sumopower is down here in kent and ive heard they are pretty good. And if anyone can suggest what brands are best for the parts i have said, and what else would i need for the engine swap? and is there anything i need to look at for buying the original EK? I know about bodywork and rust being a detailer, but if anyone knows anything else to look at? Anyway, thanks in advance and I look forward to talking to lots of the members :)
Cheers.

there are lots of topics covering all sorts of swaps your best bet would be to contact the people you want to do it for you and get their view on it

Why not just buy an ek9? All the money your going to spend making an ej9 like an ek9 you may as well buy an ek9 save yourself the hassle and end up with a better car? Just my 2 cents.

Im sure you know already but you get a EK4 or EJ9 just coz you put the engine in its still going to be nothing like a EK9 coz the chassis are diffrent, if you just want to then fair enough but i would guess getting someone to do it will set you back with £££, i would look at how much you would be losing if you just got a EK9 i dont think it would be that much :)

but you will also need ECU, gear linkedge, driveshafts, engine wiring loom etc theres loads of threads covering it all and alot better people to explain it lol
