Ok, so I really need some help with my EJ9 as it's leaking in the drivers footwell, The seat never gets wet it's just the carpet, as my car Is on a sloped drive the water moves under the seat and into the rear footwell to form a big puddle :( I'v tried spraying the door with a hose, roof, windscreen but I'm lost :( Help please.

ive got the exact same problem its from the sunroof drains, when they get clogged up the water leaks into your interior

I've also got a tropica and got a leak in the drivers footwell lol absolute nightmare

Are you sure, because the sunroof cover is not wet, neither is the roof :L and the seat never gets wet. How do you clear the drains buddy?

100% mate pour some water down the little hole in the sunroof and look in the corner of your car under the dash just along from the door. i will go outside and take a video for you if you want it mine still isnt fixed and my interior is stripped out anyway

a few ways of clearing it. some pressurized air or shove a big wire down it. i used an amp power wire but mine is really blocked and i cant get the wire down any further

Thanks dude appreciate it! Failed it's mot aswell so If I can get the leaky interior sorted that will be a plus ;) thanks bud ! :)

Hey dude, got my car back from the garage today, cleaned the top of the sunroof drains out, where the drain exits at the wheel-arch I unscrewed the 2 screws holding the plastic bit to the sill and found a grommit, put it back into the hole on the wheelarch and cleaned out near the drain. Think the grommit was causing the leaking?

could have been mate i still haven't fixed mine as im take the hole sunroof out when my bung gets here. easiest way to find out if you have done it is to put some water down the hole and see if it still leaks into your interior. if its just a little water you put down it wont completely soak the carpet ect

Put loads down the drivers side drain, all seems to come out at the bottom onto the floor :) hopefully fixed it, soon find out when it rains:) thanks dude.

im having a similar problemwith my ej9 its no leaking but its stripped with intirior {i.e buckets but fully carpeted ect} and it mists up something cronic even when its not been driven in a while itll be misted and have a lot of condensation on the windshield . i have put a dehumidifier in it and it helps a little but when driving in the rain its lethal mists up constantly any ideas guys?

Try what I did mate, could be a grommit from the arch fallen off.. Try taking the 2 screws out that connect the plastic side panel to the wheel arch and pull it back, see if anything is lying in the side panel..

No worries mate is that where yours was leaking from? where roughly if you could describe a little bit more :p thanks dude.

Benind the plastic arch cover, to reveal the paint, there was a hole, and my grommit had fallen out of it, Put it back in and it's never leaked since..
