Help car wont start

I was pulling out of tescos at low speed in 2nd gear and the car just died
when I turn the key its not firing up

Things ive checked

Oil
water
Plugs are dry
Can here fuel pump coming on
took off fuel line in engine and petrol can be sucked out
Checked fuel line under rear seat and it seems to be flowing

Can anyone else give me tips or suggestions please
 
How How do it check it?

I also tried to check for error codes. I pulled the cover off to the left side to reveal the ECU. but there is no light. How do I go about counting blips?
 
like 'corral' said... distributor on civic r common prob...

try out a m8s one 1st if u can... to make sure!
 
Mates coming round in his now. I just found how to test the ecu so i,ll go out and check it in the mean time armed with my paper clip
