Hey,

My stock head unit seems to be draining the battery. Done the parasitic drain test with/without fuse, 0.9A, bit strange? Unplugged head unit, 0.1A.

Previous owner had a sub and amp, but not to sure if he removed all the wiring ...

Got told it may be a bad earth, redone it and still drawing .9A. Is there suppose to be a 12+ volt constant draw?

I don't really know what I'm looking for being a n00b when it comes to I.C.E, so guess the question is -

What is causing the head unit to drain the battery?

Any help would be appreciated

Adam

Is there an extra wire coming from the battery ?
Cuz that would be the power wire for a sub but can't see why that would drain the battery unless the sub or amp was still there
if the amp is still fitted find out if it has a remote wire which turns it all off when the head unit is off

Nah no extra cables from the battery, amp has been removed. I think I have removed the sub/amp wiring now, RCA and skinny grey wire (presume thats the remote)?

remote wire should be blue. it gose to amp if dont have amp i dont know what would be drain the battery
