hi Guys i am starting to notice a light squeal when i release the clutch pedal only happens when the car is pulling off in first under stress (get away from lights quick or pulling off on a hill), i am thinking it's the release bearing on it's way out or maybe the diff but i am no expert has anybody had this problem on there eg6 with y21 or simliar

yeah is say its time for a new clutch, could be the torsional damper springs on the disc,or something broken on pressure plate

my clutch has a slight squeel constantly,
Do I need a new clutch?
Bear in mind its only done 7,000 miles :nice:

couldn't tell what is in the car, clutch bits perfect every time just the squeal is doing my head in

proly the release bearing.. i would just leave it, itll be fine. my friend and i had this and the clutch always worked no problem, we both were hard on our cars and did over 40k miles on the clutch.. BTW, this was the ACT Xtreme clutch set.

i have the same problem turned out to be the spiggot shaft bearing in the centre of the flywheel

quite possible the clutch is fine maybe all the dust wasny cleaned off the spigot shaft and greased and its causing a bit of a squeak

This weekend my friend just installed 100% brand new OEM from Honda ITR clutch/pressureplate/throughout bearing/pilot bearing and she has the same problem so definitely it has nothing to do with needing a new clutch. Perhaps its the way the disc beds into the flywheel?

took gearbox out the weekend the clutch was knackered the springs, release bearing were fcuked and clutch disc was cracked from oil contamination form oil leaking into gearbox from worn distributor seal
