GAZ coilovers - EK4 SIR compatable?

They will fit, but a friend had some GAZ coilovers on his car, not a honda, and he had endless problems with them. In the end the front two started leaking the oil everywhere and after he had them "fixed" and returned (After £80 as there was no warranty on his) they burst again about 2 weeks later. They then wouldn't take them back to be fixed at all and he ended up giving them away as he couldn't get them repaired.

These were only about a year old when it occurred, up till then he had had no issues and had used them on the track and had said they performed well.

Not putting you of them just saying what I have saw happen to GAZ coilovers. Btw it was GAZ gold ones he had.

I have these coilovers on mine, they are brilliant!! Only had one problem where one front one wouldnt adjust dampening but with a little fiddling it worked again. But other than that i'd highly reccomend them :)

i have these on mine.. theyre a decent coilover however i paid about 100 less than that a few years ago. im upgrading to meister r zeta r coilovers which are 599 for the extra 100£ id get the meister r's

also the gaz's use the stock topmount where as the meister's have a pillowball top mount

Like has been said, my cousin had them on his |CLio 182 and had nothing but grief with them. Changed them to some Spax RSX and they were perfect.

Meister R Zeta's are a good coliover for the money, as are the BC ones.

A few of my mates who have meisters want to get rid an buy gaz :/

Ok so GAZ feedback seems fairly negative so thanks might have saved me a whole load of trouble! Looking at alternatives but im restricted by cost so any suggestions for reasonably priced coilovers welcome.

BC coilovers, had no grief and I drive like an utter **** in the civic

ive had GAZ on my ek years ago. and tbh they were great until one of the front shocks bent >.> but to properly lower ur car u need helper springs with them etc so get some Bc's or meister r's mate. cant go wrong.

as others have said BC and meister are good budget coilovers, need to spend alot more monies to get a proper variable coilover setup with defined adjustment differences.

Yeah BC is looking good. Not looking for anything complex, its just my daily at the moment. Wanted it off springs more than anything but dont want to go too cheap

Ever thought of a good Spring and shock setup then? There's a few people on here running the Spoon shocks and Springs, and I've saw that they swear by them. They will retain the normal comfort for everyday driving but also lower the car slightly and give it slightly better handling when you want to have fun.

Havin a good shock/spring setup rather than cheaper coilovers may prove to be a better idea if it's only going to be a daily driver. Just another option man.
