the higher the number the shorter the final drive. 4.4 isnt as short as 4.7,4.9 is the shortest id go for road/track

I would just go for a 5.1FD, shorter than OEm, and only about 500RPM different (higher rev)

Number count of the teeth. Idk what they are but the have to be different to be different ratios.

I know the FSM will have the count on it but when you see it just count the teeth and divide the ring/crown number by the pinion number.

4.7 has 67 teeth on the crown wheel and 14 teeth on the pinon shaft
4.4 has 66 teeth on the crown wheel and 15 teeth on the pinon shaft
