FAKE Luke tow strap ? ?

i bought a tow strap from a company and after not getting the first one i had to get another one sent out, anyway when it came through it looks fake can anyone tell me if its genuine or not before i take this further ?

Looks like a CHEAP Chinese rip off to me. Did you pay LUKE price?

yep it came to almost £20 with delivery. i emailed the company saying i wanted a refund because its clearly counterfeit and i received this as their response...

We take accusations like this very seriously that we have sold you a counterfeit item, do you think that the Carnoisseur Group would seriously consider selling conterfeit goods in its stores and on line ?

We solely buy our Luke straps directly from the manufacturer which is Corbeau in Kent.

Corbeau/Luke will quite happily verify that we buy quantities of tow straps regularily from them and have never had one returned from a customer due to any problems or issues.

If you feel there is an issue with the tow strap then I would welcome any information as to why you think this is not a genuine product, which I will then quite happily forward on to both our head office and directly to Corbeau/Luke.

I would be more than happy for you to send the towstrap back to Corbeau for their inspection.

The one you have received does look fake, the stitching doesn't seem spot on unlike in the link that elchunk has just posted.
 
Theres 2 different types , but it is genuine . Also Id doubt Carnoissuer to be selling counterfeit parts.
 
i dont know why they would make 2 different types ? why does one look like its made by an 8 year old thai kid ?
