Searching for cam gears, I found this, they look very very good, I currently need a set and I'm looking for the best option.

Specs:

Constructed from Forged 7075 Aluminum, the MFactory Ultra Lightweight Adjustable Vernier Cam Gears are essential for today's engine tuning.
- Allows you to fine-tune your camshaft timing to optimize the power output of your engine
- Vernier-Scale providing 0.5 degree cam angle adjustments makes our gears the most accurate on the market
- Laser-etched timing marks provide +/- 15 degrees of crank angle adjustment
- Hard surface coating ensures the highest of quality and reliability
- Textured outer ring provides extra grip for your timing belt
- Inner & Outer ring balanced up to 12,000rpm

What I found very interested in this product, that is the first time I see that you can adjust a cam providing 0.5 degree adjustments, the best I've seen was the skunk 2 pro that has a 1 degree adjustments.

Their price are 180 $ shipped, they're cheaper than skunk2 pro series cam gears.

Anyone has any experience with this? I've no experience adjusting camshafts, is it good to have 0.5 degree adjustments? :nerv:

Remember that a bad choice in cam gears can cost you the motor :nono:

they look pretty good! :nice: reasonable price as well. i'm planning to get toda cam gears & timing belt. Toda :bow: :D

1/2 degree in cam adjustment is critical, i was at dyno few weeks back and mate was fine tweeking cam (they had been fully degreed), 1/2 adjusment was made and car gained right through, 1 degree and it lost a little most of the place

why didnt you just ask MFactory  he's the one who makes them...

We don't offer them as part of our catalog. We did, however, have a limited batch of them leftover from one of our oem customers orders, so sold the rest of them to some of our customers in the UK.

They were the Hytech Production/Buddyclub Header. We don't have any left, therefore no longer sell them.

There are so many cam gears out there, I would go for the one that-
Doesn't slip, has no reputation or real possibility of slipping
Is lightweight
Durable finish and adjustment markings
Good looking

Also, all cam gears can be adjusted to .5 degrees, you just have to go between the 1 degree marks.

Can you talk a little more about this product of yours? thanks!

We don't offer it as part of our catalog as it is not our product/design. It was a wholesale order from one of our oem customers, and we had a few spare leftover which we sold onto the UK/EU. We did not sell these to any other country as we do respect Hytech/Buddyclub's market.

Although our cam gears are based loosely on the TODA and Spoon "style", the details are significantly different for them to be classed as our own product as we have improved upon their designs :)

RVM, Why don't you just use TODA? I've got some coming in.

Because you can get better for less, especially when you live in or around America ;)

indeed, toda/jun/spoon/mugen they all make good parts, but price is very very very high. there prices are almost triple what other companies charge but there performance is not triple...
