Fab work :s ?

Hi guys.
Basicaly iv started a new job that is presswork and fabrication. my boss has said if i want to mess about at lunch or afterwork with any of the scrap sheet metal i can as much as i want. as soon as the words left his mouth i thought hmmm what can i make for my car (as you do) iv been racking my brain and i carnt realy think of anything bar a catch can (abit lame i know) can anyone think of anything that might be good/functional/cool ect that i could make? If what ever it is turns out ok and works well i may get some made and up for sale (very cheap) just as a way to better my skills and make bits people might need/want/like. so thoughts?

Does anyone know if using certain types of steel/ally would effect the oil/temp ect? Iv got a spare b16a2 sump which im taking is the same as other b series? Ill have to buy a baffle to get a pattern or studdy pics and make my own messurements on it

I wouldnt have thick enough metal to do a skid plate sump baffles are a fav at the moment

Dont have big enough bits of metal to use to do door cards might see how much it would be to buy for sheet metal though and do some for myself

That looks interesting. will try and make a template for it. only problems i see are how to mount it to the bumper and heat from the downpipe as it will radiate into the engine bay.
