hi there,

i've just got a second hand Apexi N1 cat-back (with adjustable de-cat) for my EK4, and its blowing badly at the front where the de-cat attaches, and a little at the back, and the bend in the pipe doesn't sit in properly with the shape of the standerd exhaust tunnel,

any suggestions, :please: me and my mate fitted it so chances are once ive given it to RSR for a bit it will be sorted,

but my biggest concern is there is a strong petrol smell when it starts up and when its idleing...is this because its blowing badly at the front??

cheers :)

You haven't fitted it properly if it's blowing.

Be sure to renew all gaskets, donut gaskets should be tight but do not overtighten and use NO exhaust paste on these or you render them useless.

Use some paste on sandwich gaskets and allow to settle for a few minutes once tight to allow a proper seal before starting car...

It's smelling strongly of fuel because you have no cat and it's blowing at the front.
