i have a b16b running 13.1 compression with crower stage 3 cams on jenvey throttle bodys
the engine breathing system is Endyn oil breathing system with two pipes out of the rear of the block and three from the rocker cover also the base of the tank has a return pipe going back to the sump
when the engine is at high rpm it will blow oil out of the filter on top of the endyn catch tank, this would be about half a litre in five miles
the sump also has extra baffles fitted
looking for suggestions to repairing the problem

Is the catch can at the highest place you can put it ?

catch tank is sitting where battery would normally sit and battery is race battery inside car

rings bores etc should be ok as this engine is kris dunlops engine out of the orange civic and he said porformance autoworks rebuilt the engine post x/mas 2009/2010 before he sold the car to me
pity he or richy wont answer the phone since they sold it

im not a fan of endyn can, i looked into those and the B&R kits but have just bought some stuff to fab my own setup
the endyn can isnt the biggest of cans, what size hoses are you using?
try a larger hose / bigger diameter filter neck / bigger can.

is it only happening under high rpm?

i am using two 10mm hoses from the block to the tank
three 6mm from the rocker cover
8mm return to the sump
the filter neck is 25mm
the engine is now in a EG6 tarmac rally car which is at high rpm but limited to 9000 rpm
what kit do you recommend :thanks:

where have you put the fitting on the rocker cover? make sure they are in the front behind the baffles, if elsewhere make sure that you put a baffle in

the kit like the t1r said or B&r also do a full kit although they aint cheap hence why im trying to fab one up

I cant speak for Richy, but apart from a text regarding the coilovers i've not recieved any calls and certainly not ignored any calls.

However, the engine was absolutley spot on and the Mocul catch can that was on the civic originaly collected very little oil after a 15 minute race (15-20 miles maybe?) so definately sounds like its something to do with the system you have on it now. Not really clued up on the technical side i'm afraid so cant be anymore help than that i'm afraid!

endyn design seems well though out and ive always liked it, perrymoo has replied in your post on itr forum, give detail he requested for some very technical feedback

also contact endyn and explain situation to see if they can help

this car/motor was purchased at the end of a race reason ? depending on build/spec may not be designed to last as race engine i gather as per most race engines

Engine was built for reliability as I didnt want to be rebuilding every season. I can say with confidence that the engine was spot on and it was inspected fully before it was sold. Had I not had money problems I would still be racing it this year with the same engine.

the engine is perfect power is 255bhp torque is 165lb/ft
this was only mapped last week
only problem is the oil
the reason i changed the catch tank was it was blowing out oil the first time we took it out,
kris the only other problem we have is the engine check light flashes all the time
have you any ideas on this

I'll get the exact reason from Richy as I'm sure it was ECU/timing related, but it did it quite often when first driven hard when I had it but it isnt anything to worry about.
