might sound like a complete bloody newb asking this but its been bugging me for a few days now.lol

how come the dc2 runs a full length rad and air con at the same time. and the EK9 only a half length rad.

is there any way of running a full length rad and keeping the air con on a 9?

Very good question, i would also like to know the answer to this.

Why not purchase a thicker alloy EK9 one? That way you save yourself the hassle of trying to remove the aircon.

I seem to recall it being possible as I stumbled across this before at a car show. From what I was told, the radiator was a custom unit that fit rather snug as the height was customized to fit recessed. The lower radiator mounts were also custom as a result.

I'm not sure it is totally necessary to go this far, but I think the owner did it this way to mount the AC/Fan where the stock radiator would normally sit. I was told he did it this way to make more room in the engine bay as well as appearing much cleaner. I only noticed it because I thought it didn't have a radiator at all!
