My friend and I bought the car last December, and have spent some time and money on it, and used it for 3 track days at Donington Park twice, and Nurburgring.

The car has an impressive build behind it, with no cost spared. Built by SWMotorsports, the car was freshly imported to be a race car. We have not used it for 7 months as we have both been busy, house move and both of us are getting married. We were looking to sell it for another race car, or keep it, but we both have not had the time to even think about track time. So for now we think its best just to try and sell it.

SWMotorsports imported the car, then stripped it to build it back up as a Civic Cup car, they used it for 2 20 minute races before our purchase.

Bad Points:
As its a race car, there are a few scuffs on the front lip and side skirts, there is also a crack in one of the side skirts. When the stickers came off some paint came off on the side. We had to try and roll the arches at the Nurburgring, they are rippled from the way the inner edge was tapped back. On a track day the car was pulled from the gravel trap and the guy in the truck just yanked the car and pulled the power part of the slam panel apart. It either needs a small new section or welding back on. We tie wrapped it on the day and continued the track day. To get the above repaired will cost about £1000.

Its a seriously amazing car, very very quick and well built, just need a tidy up cosmetically to make it mint, however the body does not effect its performance at all.

I will post new picture up ASAP.

Thanks
Jay

Rather sell it as a whole and anyone can remove and sell the parts easily for good money.

This is a shame mate!
Heard about the clutch going at the ring.

Yeah start of day two the clutch let go, one of those things i guess.

Not in any desperate need to sell it, if someone buys it i can get a DC5 race car, if not i will keep this as im looking forward to seeing the difference at Donington next Month with the B18.

I've linked Matt to this, he sold me his ek9 but think he's regretting now. I can't sell mine back to him after the work I've put in so this could be up his street.

I take it this has never been registered in the uk, what would it take to put it on the road? This is essentially what I'm trying to build (and then some), but it would be easier just to buy this instead I think.

Hi mate, I have no idea what it would take to register in the UK, sorry. Might be worth asking Shaun at SWMotorsports or Dunx?

I noticed the VIN plate is the UK spec size and mounted in the UK spec position. Does the VIN number start with 'EK9'?

Thats not a VIN plate, its just a plate saying SWMOTORSPORTS. The VIN is on the bulk head as normal.

Is this the N1 chassis as its doesn't have the tinted windows, dark surround headlamps and different bumper?

Did you buy this from spd automotive in layland ??

Yes.

The car has just had new exedy clutch, oil cooler fitted, geo for donington park.

Will be using it at Japfest2, and if it doesnt sell, keeping it. Had some offers but want close to asking price.

This was awsome on the track yesterday .. Jay-K was it you who I had a good chat with in the pit garage on the last track session and when you were loading it back on the trailer ?
