I'm looking for peoples opinions on getting the most out of my Ek9 put alot of money into it lately got a new catback spoon n1 replica decated it new toda style mani slug intake the engine is bored out to 1.8 with oversized pistons I'd like to make between 210 and 220 hp if I got a skunk2 intake and throttle body and a map do you think it'd make big power or would I need cams etc?

Engine is bored out to 1.8l?
You mean stroked right? Because to bore a stock b16b to 1800cc takes an 86mm piston.
Which isn't possible...

Stroked then...
Like mine, stroker friends!

B16b Pistons?

Not entirely sure on pistons was told oversized pistons engine only had full rebuild before I bought the car pal

You need to find out really.
Oversize b16b piston would put compression around 12.5-1 and will seriously effect camshaft choice due to piston/valve clearance

Oversize b18c piston puts you at 11-1 roughly but you've got more free choice of camshaft due to the extra clearance...

I presume b18 I will try find out doh I friends with previous owner on Facebook ha

So essentially a b18c6 then. So when your ordering engine parts it's easiest to say it's a dc2 engine.

Ye basically is. So what parts would you get not looking to spend mad money now but I've just after putting a spoon n1 on and a toda style mani heard there very good for gains

I've a buddy with skunk2 pro 2 cams in his c6 metro.
He makes roughly 220hp but you get people say they've ran that on a stock motor so....

your never going to see huge gains with a B series NA build without spending mega monies. a larger TB is only really useful of you have the inlet ported to match. I'd recommend gearing modifications if you are looking for better acceleration.

^ this really
I've never played the N/A tuning game too hard because of the fact you need a deep wallet for relatively small gains.
I wouldn't expect to bolt any single modification onto the engine and feel a difference...
Gearing you'll notice instantly for sure

Ye but Im more thinking a few bolt ons and a map on a Neptune ecu surely I could push it 210 without the need for cams and cam gears.I'm only after replacing the gearbox with a fully rebuilt s4c 4.4 with a lightened fly wheel and excedy clutch so I don't really want to be taken it out again so soon

I had a b18 with bolt ons tuned on s300 (how I bought my first ek9). That had 200hp....

Im going to say if your after numbers I'd chose wisely where you dyno your car....

I'm from Ireland there's a very good fella that everyone goes to couple weeks waiting list but he's the best 600 and he supplys the ecu and maps it I can't imagine mine been much under 200 it's a very fast car so can't see why would make 210 or a little over with the few bits. I've seen some lads spend thousands on work on the heads and they do be roughly making 220 - 228

Only one way to find out then bud.

This is it I'll probly just get Skunk2 intake tb and what do ya rekon about K20 injectors?

I've only just heard about the k20 injectors as a mod recently and am not sold just yet.
From what I've read(not much) only 1 person on here has done it and claims midrange gains so?
