ek9 152 bhp?

155whp would be very good power for a b16b

Ye got there before me.

Don't understand the pissing contest that is dyno figures, if anything it's what it shows at the flywheel is what counts. And the fact no 2dynos are the same adds fuel to the fire.

On the standard ecu I keep up to my friends but with the mapped ecu they are giving me car length gap, the vtec has been lowered on the mapped ecu to 5900rpm and cut out too 9000rpm, is the car not getting mapped correct

this was at santapod on a mobile dyno(rapid GB)

That's properly your main problem a budget dyno it's like using a burger van on the side of the road, expensive crap. Get on some proper rollers and I bet u will get a better reading

I had this issues lads turned out the timing was off, made 151bhp, got timing sorted and made 182bhp

Disagree, Wheel HP is far more relevant than flywheel hp when measuring power with a chassis dyno, if using a engine Dyno then yeah flywheel power would be most accurate as you are measuring power directly at the flywheel.

I agree with you there, the losses through the gearbox count aswell, fair enough saying the engine produces X amount of bhp - a bit pointless though if it looses say 40-50bhp through the box though.

I think il stay away from dynos in my em1 then if that is the case. I will leave the place in tears when my power figures are the same as a saxo. :(

maybe honda exaggerated the power outputs from the start lol!

anyway why not put the car on a hub dyno, thor racing use these and they take the wheels off and then put the dyno directly onto your hub

Or maybe its because their almost 14 year old in some cases and been thrashed most of their lives....

quite possibly! afterall people tend to think hondas are indestructable so they drive it like it is

especially with ek9s i bet most of them spend alot of time on the tracks

You guys from burton? My auntie lives up ther with her family!
I stay up ther in a caravan some times, beehive farm?

Only different between a hub dyno and rr is you cant wheel spin on a hub dyno + you can run more tests with them (step testing etc), realistically its more accurate..

Yeah it's about 10mins from my aunties aswell but she's the near an old pub, can't quite remember the name. Will come to me. Thers a pub on the corner of a junction from the bridge. Go down that road and Thers another little pub. She's on the right up the hill

Maybe? Thers like an abandoned building right on the corner
