ej9 to rally car


My God! Stunning build so far mate. Love it!!! Keep up the good work, cant wait to see vids of this running!
 
How far down the country are you planning on going event wise? be great to compare times as i admit my build is going to be simpler ( read cheaper!) engine and gearbox wise, be good to see how far behind i am.
 
Nither myself or my dad have ever been sponsered, really is something we need to sort out.

Furtherest up we have been so far is wales or oxford way, being right down in plymouth is a pain in the bum!

What engine mounts are you using? ( more questions!!) and i have pm'd you.
 
its a hewland one, as fitted to the british rally championship cars, think elite transmissions now do a kit which is a copy, hewland havn't made them for years
 
I spoke to mardi gras motorsport about a gearkit as i found an old website, wonderful ratio's, but they havent had or sold any in years, so if yours are anything like theirs it will be fantastic.

Mines going to be great for my budget, but dads running a 6 speed sequencial sadev box in his 205 so mine will unfortunatly always 'appear' kak lol.
 
2 grand, hope its reiable as spares need to be made from scratch, its brutal lol

do quaife still do a syncro kit ?
 
as far as i know quaife do, but so far all our dealings with them have been hopeless, so we have gone elsewhere.

1st event entered, the north west stages rally in sunny Blackpool on the 4th and 5th feb

spectator stages on Blackpool and Fleetwood prom, and only 3 miles from home if she breaks down or i do something stupid !!!!

come down and cheer us on
 
I would if i wasnt about 3 light years away! Fingers crossed nothing breaks, and def dont do anything stupid!

We had an event booked for the 20th of jan but have had to cancel as our Sadev box isnt back yet grrr.
