Welcome to my thread for my 2000 Honda Civic EJ9 VSM my first car!
Bought the car off a dealer in September 2012, Very solid body with hardly any rust!

What's been done to date (23/10/13)


Lowered on coilovers.
De-wipered.
EK9 Rep grille.
Upper strut bar.
New uprated LCA's (red)
6k HID's.
VTI fanblades sprayed in Met Grey w/ red H centers. Wrapped in 195/50/15's
Colour coded recess.
Rear tow hook.
Sportex backbox.
Japspeed de-cat.
K&N induction Kit.
Mugen rep lip.
Jap plates.
Tilted oem spoiler.
Smoked oem side repeaters.
Team Heko wind deflectors.
Beaks rear tie bar in purple.
Adjustable camber arms.
Short shifter.
JDM OEM Yellow Fogs.



The To do list/want list;

New front bumper,smoothed.
Smoked EK9 headlights.
4-2-1 exhaust mani.
ASR subframe brace.
Meister R coilovers.
EK9 spoiler.
Colour coded, mirrors & handles, bumpstrips.
Rear Lip.

Firstly ordered a EK9 style grille. Soon as it arrived I dropped the front bumper and fitted it straight away.

Also ordered some TEAM HEKO tinted wind deflectors.

Got a Mugen splitter too!

Removed the trims as I'm keeping it on steelies for winter then going to invest In some decent wheels.

got some new HT leads in blue aswell

Ordered myself a front upper strut brace and also some lowering springs (60mm) front & rear.

Replaced the standard air box with a K & N induction kit also. (sounds nice) :)

So the day came to lower my car.. So me and my mate started nice and early into a world of problems..
Every single nut and bolt was either seized/corroded/rounded. Didn't manage to get it done in one day so by the end of the week they were on aswell as many new bolts.

Also color coded grill in VSM..
(compared to a Doritos! :win:

pretty disappointed with the drop to be fair, coilovers next I think!

Decided to start tidying my engine bay, Painted the rocker cover and found a replacement heat shield from a breakers as the old one was shot, sprayed it in silver to smarten it up :)

Gave it a service, fitted new plugs, changed oil & filter. Had trouble getting the old filter off because the prev owner or the garage that serviced it didn't put oil around the lip seal so it had suck to the block :( Broke several removers including a chain to get it off :L

looks nice part from the stickers imo.
whats the difference in sound with air intake, much louder ? sporty?

Put my new sportex 3'' backbox on last week!
put some LED number plate lights in also.

Decided to colour code the rear recess today, so I removed it and gave the underneath a real good clean!

Hopefully get it done sometime this week:dance::nerv:

how are you painting the grill and recess? im scared to do mine outside in the cold weather haha, im guessing youve got somewhere indoors to do it? good progress so far man :)
