Hi All,

I took the EK9 along to my local car club's dyno shootout today, first time I've had it on the rollers since I got it so was interested to see the results:

Relevant mods are:

Buddy Club header (remainder of the exhaust system stock & cat fitted)
Spoon ECU
AEM V2 induction
Spoon plug leads

The Spoon's trait of leaving a hole in the power at 5250-ish rpm can be seen clearly. Other than that I'm quite pleased.

Cheers,
Alex

181bhp at the fly ? and what was the torque cant really see in the pic ?

nice!! i've got a few more mods than that, and i really want to see my numbers, dont know what they will be though, i have never had mine on rollers.....
hard to find here in japan and if you do, its EXPENSIVE!!!

Thanks for the :nice: guys :)

Is that 'hole' very noticeable when driving it?

If you go through it in 4th then yes, in lower gears the revs rise quickly enough that it's not really noticeable.

Cheers,
Alex

Thanks for sharing!

Pity about the Spoon ecu.... always room for more tuning :p

Oh yeah ;)

I'm not sure whether to use a VTEC controller to move the changeover point back up to normal revs, which should get rid of this issue, or go for a Hondata or something which is more tunable. I guess it depends on my plans for the car power-wise...

Cheers,
Alex

something like hondata will always get my vote. I think static ecus are truly a thing of the past and would only use them if....uh...they were free or really cheap or something...

Yep, I agree too - I just need to find out the best product for my local tuners to work with.

Cheers,
Alex

As said, I have a B16B and B18C SPOON ecu and every SPOON ecu i've seen has a power dip. Buddyclub V-CON can correct this like I've done.
