Driving Your EK9 In The Snow

get some pics up of the snow in you area

1mm of snow in my area (Rochdale)

When I was up in Hickney the other day I found that the diff made it easier to drive in the snow compared to my EJ9. When braking the ABS would just go off which was scary as it accelerated the car a bit.

my jordan aint coming out in that lol have a wee corsa to drive to work and that so no need, its pretty good in the snow tbh haha

I think mine gets about really well in the snow.
It gets about far better then rwd cars pushed several up hill near us today and mine drove up ok. :))

So I think we can come to the conclusion that civics suck in the snow especially with track tyres?
Damn :(
I'm tempted to buy a £200 fiesta just for the snow
No a Civic doesn't suck in the snow, _any_ car with track tires, also the 4x4's, suck with track tires. A Civic with snow tires will be 10 times better than a Land Rover Defender with track tires.

My teg seems good so far, must be the B18's ultimate torque :p

Im trying to get my brothers little suzuki swift on the road for the rest of the winter :)

I've never really had a problem in the snow before, but my car's been off the road since the snow started falling. saying that it has been alot worse this year. I wish I had kept the snow tyre's that Duncan offered me on the car.

I didnt want to find out, but havnt found a suitable daily yet, even tho i got money waiting so had to drive the 9 to work in the snow,

I will 100% vouch that Hankook RS2 & Snow DO NOT mix well! I got stuck on pretty much level ground earlier. Fail!

*runs off car shopping asap*

welll obvs, other people seem to think they cant handle it

I am struggling to get snow tyres :(
Going to get either T1-rs at £29 or Proxes 4 at £33.50 each.

Either have got to be better than the hankooks. Suspect the proxes 4 will be better in the snow due to more tread pattern.

My EK4 is fine at the moment, but i think thats more down to the fact i havent even seen one bit of snow yet! :angry2:

Check Pneus online, they had some Nokian WRG2 in stock last time I looked which are highly rated. Otherwise, just pick up a cheap set of part worns off ebay.

Toyos will be utter shite in the snow as I found out last year.

Vredestein Sportrac3 wernt that bad in the snow last year, My plan is to buy another car. Dont wanna risk driving the ek9 on the roads i have to cover to work, Some idiot will blatently crash into me. And that idea scares me lol

drive my car on the snow today with done winter tyres. definitely a few brown trouser moments! think i'll just stick to corsa motoring for a while! :))

Snow driving is good fun. I've not got an EK9 but my EJ9 is doing fine.

I think it really comes down to your wheels/tyres. Im running the stock steelies with Yokohama A.Drives and I've not had any major dramas.

Didn't stop me taking a snow day yesterday though :p

using my nine evry day in the snow , driving ideal

Tried to avoid driving but when I did it was ok on worn S.Drives struggled a bit on my mates drive which is on a small hill but other than that just took it steady :)
