is there any difference in the ek9 and ek4 driveshafts? would it effect anything putting an ek4 driveshaft in an ek9??

another driveshaft question, are EK9 driveshafts teh same as integra pre-98 spec driveshafts?!?!

awesome!! was just checking as we have broken a couple tegs,

and i like to take spares with me to the track seeing as we busted a shaft on the integra SI last time..

sorry to bring this thread back alive but I hav 2 busted drive shafts on my ek9. the inner and outer shafts are done! :( need new D rubbers on the front anti-roll bar too! :( Honda want £630 for the 2 shafts so I told them to ram it! lol I have seen the Yonaka ones on ebay that jock9 so kindly recommended to me. Does anyone have any experience or reviews for the yonaka ones that Tegiwa sell?

Thanks

is there 30 splines on both ends of the drive shaft? or is there a different number of splines on each end ?

if you try and explain this a bit more simple because its not my mother language the English ll check tomorrow when i go to my garage and inform you m8!!

btw why dont you buy mfactory racing driveshafts??? they cost 464 gbp and they will last for sure a lot as they are made to take up to 450 whp.

no problem I just need to know if the Yonaka drive shafts are any good please? and also how many splines are on each side of the drive shaft on the OEM ek9 ones please? i.e how many splines on side that goes into gearbox and how many slpines on the side that go into the hub? :nice:

thanks

I saw them but I am not willing to pay £450 plus postage plus import tax for shafts like that as I am only running like 200bhp. they would be good yes but if the yonaka ones are ok or I can source the correct ones from my mates dealer SRS then I will get them for around £250.

Honda want £650, no danger thats ridiculous!:wow:

thanks

can you not get second hand 96 spec integra, ek9 or even ek4 driveshafts as they're all the same?

We've sold over 100 pairs of Yonaka. Only had 1 warranty claim as he thought it was causing vibration so we sent a new one out and Yonaka replaced it.

IMO they are great for cars with mild NA tuning. Obviously if you are going for 400hp turbo then DSS or raxles would be best

Wouldnt really trust 2nd hand gear as they could easily just pack in 1k miles later! had bad experience in past with 2nd hand parts!:((

sounds good to me. well if I cant get a good deal on mfactory ones or source other new sets from my mates supplier then I will get a set of yonaka ones. thanks :)

I have purchased the Yonaka axles from Tegiwa so I will look forward to getting them thanks! :) Thanks jock9 and Tegiwa for the recommendation! I wasnt sure if I got any discount for being on an ek9.org member?
