they look awsome but how are they for daily driving, tire wear etc...

it looks awesome on big rimmed drift vehicle, or eurodubs, but on a honda thats built to go round the corners, no mate, it wont do you any favours. the tyres arent sat how they were designed, thus handling will suffer, and there's always the risk that it'll pop out of the rim with the handling forces.

very unsafe, not sure why anybody would want to do this on any other car than a show car or drift car...

x2

few of my mates have these on there vw lupos and golfs etc . i just shake my head in shame when i see them

Its a big no no from me to..Dont think they look great on civics and I wouldnt like trusting them on bends

iv stretched tires on my silvia an find them fine for daily drivin...but def not on a honda they'd look crap at the end the day its not a drift machine an its not a show queen

i dont know if you guys noticed the hasbac photos...but the white hatch had streched tires... I like how it looks but i wouldnt do it either. i also have a question i just went from 40's to 45's on tire height and my car feels a lil more sluggish is this possible? :please:

Yuup , the larger overall diameter of your wheel will slow your acceleration down but increase top speed.

man this sucks! i knew i felt a difference :angry2: on top of that they rub on turns :( i just wanted to fill in the gap and better ride quality :/

Bought my civic with stretched tires but got rid of them asap! I say leave em for the euro cars!

They're for show only imo

I used to run 195/45 tyres on 8" wide 14" Borbets on my old polo, looked alright and tbh there was no negative effects at all, but the mighty 1.4L 8v engine wasn't exactly going to provide enough power to do damage

On a Honda though, don't be stupid

I dont like them either, they are for euro cars or drift cars in my opinion

i think stretched tyres are cool ! but judging by what wheels you have MR.clean i'd say you could safely get away with rockin stretched tyres :)

but depends what your using your car for really :)

I'm talking from plenty of experience here and they are fine for daily/track/all round use ASLONG as you keep your eyes on the pressures. Once they are seated on the bead they will not pop off if you keep them up to pressure.
Look at most track cars including drift/touring etc they all run a slightly "stretched" side wall.
I've never ran them because they're "cool" unless you need them to stop the arch catching the tyre there's no point. They make no difference over running normal tyres as the contact patch stays exactly the same, the only slight difference you might find is the ride may become slightly more bumpy due to the slightly reduced profile.
End of the day though its your car and if you feel you need to run then do so.
